  • Corning in the Morning – 8 a.m. tomorrow morning the Friends of the Library are hosting the morning event at the Corning library, 740 Third Street. Come and learn what this group of volunteers does for your library.  There will be refreshments and a chance to win a door prize so bring your business card.
  • The Red Bluff Daily News Corning 2012 is now available at the Chamber office, 1110 Solano Street. This is a wonderful source of information about Corning and is free, so stop by the Chamber and pick one up. The Tehama County Calendar of Events is also available at the Chamber and is free. It is good to have this when you and your organization is planning an event.
  • The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will not be meeting on the regular scheduled day but on Thursday, February 16th at 5:30 p.m. instead. There will be a Car Show meeting at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in working with the Car Show is welcome to attend.
  • Tickets for the Corning Wine, Food & Art Festival, February 24th from 4 to 10 pm, and 25th, from 12 to 8 pm, are on sale at the Chamber office. They are $10 per person per day. This includes a wine glass, one tasting and a $5 free slot play.
  • March 1st The Federal Technology Center is providing a free class to learn the techniques of putting together responsive bids. The class will be held from 9 am to 12 pm. in Chico at the Butte College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) 19 Williamsburg Lane See the website at www.TheFTC.org to register and for a complete list of dates and locations. The class will cover: Understanding the bid package, what are the key elements of bid formats, Identifying pre-bid conference requirements, and Understanding insurance, bonding and wage determinations.
  • This evening from 6-7:30 pm St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, a Dignity Health Member, is providing a free women’s health seminar at the Red Bluff Community Center. Discovering Women’s Health; A Health and Wellness Series. A partnership with Soroptimists International of Red Bluff joins the award winning St. Elizabeth Community Hospital team of experts to discover your health and wellness options.   • Join the FOCUS Film Festival for a film screening of For Once in My Life. The showing will be held on Friday, March 9, 6:30 to 8 pm, at the Red Bluff Community/Senior Center, 1500 South Jackson Street. Free admission. Doors open at 6 pm.
